NoRouz And No Ruse

Happy 1387 New Year Persia.

Now, do not mistake the year for it being the middle ages...cause it's not. Though it can seem as if we're in the dark ages everywhere we look.....a tiny corner of my dim brain just wants to believe that we're all just collectively 'conserving energy' by keeping the dimmer switch down low.....*....

Technically, it's 2567. Something to celebrate. Like; Hey ! people knew how to live without computers at some point!!

But it was in 1180, 1387 yrs ago, Islam was established...thus the new count.

Nothing like a religion to do the whole etch-e-sketch thing to a culture's history.

But it's being done all the time.

We are, not to poo poo on any one's party, but we are entering a brand new period of generation remodeling and reforming - in the text books being issued in Iran this week ....as told to us in our North American news - that was re-issued to create a "generation of Iranians to be "suspicious of anyone from the West""

Can't knock 'em...being from the West - even I know not to trust our self-centered-vile-and-ignorant-self-serving people and similar government...but we don't make a public fuss by recalling and re-issuing actual text books.

They way I see it, the difference in our systematic approach to the same fear-creating-program we're all undergoing, brought to you by both Governments is - while Iran is actively re-issuing school text books to influence young Farsi minds. America is taking the totally lame-brained lackadaisical approach.....by not actually educating students, or their people of a n y t h i n g.

One culture is being taught something (good or bad)

While the other culture is being taught nothing (good and bad)

Thus there are two totally different approaches to pretty much the same situation.

Both method are a smidgey bit dangerous would you not agree?

Perhaps if we just approached out differences in the exact same way.....we'd have more to relate to and debate clearly about.....n'ah ....we're designed to be against something....it hardly matters what the target of our fear and aggravation is. Just that it is.

Plus it's quite difficult for any culture to fight the sheer extent of ignorance North America personifies.

It's like shoving a cloud.

So everyone in North America - get back to your ostrich heads-in-a-pockets favorite position...while everyone else celebrates the festivities of the New Year.

For all of you who have already blown your January 1st resolutions....here's another opportunity to try again.

There is so much more of what we've all know for centuries to yet be experienced without any hope of evolution, growth, maturation, common agreement or change. But we have Mr. heebie-G.B. Jr from Texas to thank for securing THAT future for us all and provoking everyone else in the world with his sheer un-coralled ignorance, but at least we could go forward experiencing such feeling healthier, getting out more, planting gardens and cultivating family ties.

Where ever there are human beings, there is hope and renewed strength in gathering that love and laughter might prevail where no one in power wished to ever see while they hold such position. So it to those uniquely wonderful defiant souls who strive to be their own selves - anywhere on this globe - that is in direct contrast to whoever their "leaders" are.

It is to those defiantly wonderful souls of every culture on this earth I extend my heartfelt wishes that they hold fast this good cheer, and keep these thoughts close always.

That's all this world has ever had...it is all of you who have brought us this far...let's just hope we always have enough of you to make our planet habitable for all of us who are the same - regardless of where we live.

We're so ready for spring, renewal, rejuvenation, goodies, treats, fun, energy and celebrations everywhere....we're tired of slogging. Time to smile and have fun again.
